michele mantovani was born in Bologna on May 26th 1963, and graduated at the University of Architecture in Florence in 1991, specializing in History of the Industrial Design and enrolled in the Association of Architects in Bologna with no. 2437 |
The architects carla angeloni and michele mantovani
began their occupational experience since they were attending
University, by working together with various design studios and
interior design studios.
In 1993 they engaged in private
practice independently working together in a partnership. At the end
of the year they moved their studio design offices to via del
Pratello n. 90, one of the most “historical” streets in Bologna,
which has its own particular characteristics.
In the year 2000
they founded "PRATELLO 90 di angeloni e mantovani S.r.l",
which aimed at offering a wide range of services for architecture
and assisting the client with regards their needs, as accurately
e punctually as possible.
The company applies itself in meeting all aspects in respect to interior
and exterior architecture, new construction and restoration
of buildings of various genre, covering various elements ranging from
architectural design, engineering and structural, directing
projects, with attention to details and particulars of furniture
and furnishings, both, in the planning stage and the
implementation.
Over the years it has developed the area
of "site safety" a sector, which includes numerous courses,
organized in order to train workers and companies, as well as those
linked to "Energy Saving". In carrying out all of the
activities mentioned above the architects have committed themselves
personally in addition to making use of qualified professional
experts, who have been selected over the years to become trusted
partners in the Company.
With the aim of offering
clients high quality products, architects Angeloni and Mantovani are
always looking for new artisan crafts to experience, offering a
typically Italian style product, of class and exclusivity. With
these companies they began new relationships of exchange and
partnership, ensuring in-depth implementation of the required product
both in the design phase and realisation.
It is thanks
to the close partnership within this real "niche" sector, that they
have realised works unique in their peculiarity and attention
to detail.
The commitment in this ongoing research, as well as the consolidation of the relationships with the various artisan ideals have matured the architects Angeloni and Mantovani and led them to the idea of establishing a new company which focuses on taking care of, and going further into depth within this genre; therefore, in the year 2010 the "Pratello Design S.r.l." company was born, a laboratory for architecture and design where they wanted to investigate the detail in the design and the realization of each component designed to make the work entrusted by the client unique and particular.
During these lengthy years of activity, the architects were able to produce works of importance and of great architectural interest thanks to the confidence their clients both private and public placed in them. Listed below, a list of some orders the architects have executed.
Noteworthy is the realization of a building with 14
accommodations in Via Legnani because, although it is a council
building, it has been built with a high degree of finishing and
technology (heating and floor cooling systems, home automation,
rainwater recovery).
Furthermore, based on the theme of
the Cooperativa Risanamento they have designed and directed
consolidation and restoration works on a number of different
buildings, situated in the principal city of Bologna; In fact in the
span of 10 years about seventy mechanical lifts have been
introduced to the interior and exterior stairwells making the
accommodations more assessable and overcoming architectural barriers.
The architects Angeloni and Mantovani are also entrusted
with the restoration, both during the design stage and the
supervision stage of works, of the accommodations and the commercial
premises that the Cooperativa Risanamento tenders to its members;
at present the Cooperativa Risanamento has 2223 accommodations
and 111 commercial premises.
